Four ways to change how your teeth look
Whitening
The least invasive option, and often enough on its own. Works on natural tooth staining — it won’t change the colour of existing fillings, crowns or veneers.
Bonding
Tooth-coloured composite shaped directly onto the tooth to close a small gap, repair a chip or reshape an edge. Usually done in one visit, and reversible in a way veneers are not.
Veneers
Thin custom facings bonded to the front of the teeth, for shape and colour changes that bonding can’t achieve. This involves permanently altering the tooth surface.
Crowns
Where a tooth is heavily filled, cracked or worn, a crown restores its strength as well as its appearance.

What happens, step by step
Consultation
You tell Dr. Han what bothers you. She examines your teeth and gums, and says honestly what is achievable and what isn’t. Veneer consultations are complimentary and carry no obligation.
Planning and records
Photographs and a digital scan where needed, so you can see the proposed change before anything is done to your teeth. You receive an estimate at this stage.
Treatment
Whitening and bonding are often completed in one visit. Veneers and crowns usually take two — one to prepare and take records, one to fit.
Review and aftercare
We check how everything has settled and go through how to look after it. Whitening fades and needs topping up; veneers and crowns eventually need replacing.
Timeframes vary with what you’re having done and how many teeth are involved. Dr. Han will give you a realistic schedule at the consultation rather than a number now.

Cosmetic treatment is priced by case, because the work involved differs so much between one chipped tooth and a full set of veneers. You will have the figure before anything begins.

Meet Dr. Jinny Han
Dr. Han is a general dentist with 14+ years of experience across Toronto and the Lower Mainland. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Alberta after a Bachelor of Science at UBC.
She paints and bakes in her own time, and brings the same patience and eye for detail to cosmetic work — where the difference between acceptable and right is often very small.
